Within evolving supply chain execution technologies, Bringg coverage expands both Supply Chain Convergence and Last Mile Delivery categories
CHICAGO – AUGUST 5, 2021– Bringg, the leading delivery and fulfillment cloud platform provider, was recognized in 2021 Gartner Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution Technologies. Gartner says, “The Hype Cycle covers technologies used to support logistics and fulfillment processes. The positioning of specific technologies on this Hype Cycle considers these technologies in the aggregate across various industries and geographies, but there can be notable differences in maturity, market penetration and projected demand across these dimensions.”. In this most recent Hype Cycle, Bringg is named as one of the Sample Vendors in two categories: Last Mile Solutions and Supply Chain Convergence.
The Hype Cycle offers supply chain leaders an evaluation tool to understand how technologies in their space are evolving to enable better operations now and in the future.
Gartner says, “Last-mile delivery solutions are an evolution of the more traditional, dynamic and even batch-oriented vehicle routing and scheduling solutions, grown due to the huge increase in e-commerce and last-mile deliveries.”
According to Gartner, “These solutions will not only provide benefits to e-commerce companies and other shippers focused on the last mile, but also add incremental benefits to mature users of routing and scheduling, reducing costs and improving customer service in dynamic environments.”
Offering best-in-class last mile delivery, service, and return experiences improves conversion rates, purchase activity, and brand loyalty. However, with last mile delivery estimated to account for 40% of the total supply chain costs, supply chain teams need to focus on operational efficiency driven by automation and optimization.
“Last mile delivery solutions will not only provide benefits to e-commerce companies and other shippers focused on the last mile, but also add incremental benefits to mature users of routing and scheduling, reducing costs and improving customer service in dynamic environments. These solutions also allow users to source transportation from third party fleets through API connectivity.” says Gartner.
“This past year put an enormous amount of pressure on eCommerce, and in turn, last mile delivery. Retailers must now implement the last mile strategies and technologies that scale and sustain changing consumer behaviors and demands”, said Guy Bloch, CEO of Bringg. “By prioritizing delivery and fulfillment operations to provide premium customer experiences while also generating greater operational efficiencies, retailers and their logistics partners gain market differentiation and decrease rising delivery costs.”
